Today Idea Factory International released a new trailer of its upcoming JRPG Death end re;Quest.

The trailer features the opening cutscene of the game, including the opening theme song “Caligula Syndrome” by Gesshoku Kaigi. We also get to meet the main characters that will populate this interesting JRPG that basically depicts a much darker version of Sword Art Online.

Unfortunately, we don’t get a release date yet, with the game still stuck on an “early 2019” window. Looks like we’ll have to wait longer to know when we’ll be able to play this.

Death end re;Quest is coming exclusively for PS4, and you can watch the trailer below while we wait for more information from Idea Factory International. Personally, I can’t wait.

If you want to see more, you can enjoy the original announcement of the western release and check out the latest Japanese trailer alongside plenty of gameplay. You can also download a PS4 theme dedicated to the game, which never hurts.
