Compile Heart has been rather restrained in showing animated looks at its upcoming JRPG Death End re;Quest, but finally, that changed today.

The publisher released a new trailer of the game, giving a look at both gameplay and cast. While the largest focus is on female heroine Shiina Ninomiya, we also see the rather numerous cast of waifus that we'll be able to enjoy.

Interestingly, most of them are actually NPCs within a virtual reality MMORPG that serves as a setting for the game, having developed feelings and minds of their own due to a series of glitches. It's basically a darker version of Sword Art Online with horror elements.

You can enjoy trailer in the gallery below. If you want to see more, you can check out a batch of artwork featuring the aforementioned waifus and their rather revealing "glitch style,"recent gallery of screenshots showing more characters and mechanics, an older batch of screenshots with the same focus, and even more images.

Death end re;Quest will release exclusively for PS4 on March 1st in Japan. No western release has been revealed for the moment, so but being Compile Heart, a localization from Idea Factory International is certainly possible.
