Death in Name Only: Mortuary Simulator Retitled to A Mortician’s Tale

Laundry Bear Games seemingly thought the name of their upcoming game was too lifeless so the factual Mortuary Simulator is now the more human sounding A Mortician’s Tale. The switch also seems to line up with the team’s goal to make a ‘death positive’ experience; a movement started by real life mortician Caitlin Doughty.

The game features the elements of running a successful funeral home which includes: prepping cadavers, dealing with the business end of things and comforting grieving families. There’s a tentative release date of early 2017 on PC and Mac and is slated to appear at this year’s Day of the Devs.
