Hideo Kojima Looks to Be Editing a New Death Stranding Trailer
It seems like a new trailer for the highly-anticipated Death Stranding could be coming soon.
Hot off the heels of Hideo Kojima recently teasing that we might see more of Death Stranding over the next month or so, it seems like the famed-game creator is now working on just what that upcoming reveal could be.
Earlier this morning on Twitter, the Death Stranding director himself tweeted out a picture with no caption that showed his computer monitors at what seems to be his desk. On one of the monitors, you could see the Death Stranding logo, while on the other, you could see a video editing timeline. For those unfamiliar with video editing, the software that Kojima is using is that of Adobe Premiere and After Effects, both of which you can see opened on his lower left monitor. You can see the image at the bottom of the page.
We have no other information than what is being shown, but we definitely know that Kojima is working a video of sorts for Death Stranding. Unless the video being edited isn’t directly involved with the game (maybe a behind-the-scenes video showing development) then it looks like the most reasonable assumption here would be that we’re getting a new Death Stranding trailer soon.
It’s also worth noting that Kojima in the past has been very upfront when it comes to him working on new trailers for this game. Last year before Death Stranding’s most recent trailer debuted at E3 2018, Kojima similarly tweeted out pictures of himself working on the video.
While we don’t know when this assumed trailer might be dropping (perhaps a new State of Play is around the corner) it seems reasonable to guess that it will be pretty soon. Again, with this “month or so” window that we’re working off of, a debut of this video at some point in May or June doesn’t seem out of the question. Let’s just hope that’s what happens.
Death Stranding is slated to release at an undetermined date and is currently planned to arrive exclusively on PS4.
