Jason Kelley, best known as the voice of Colt in Deathloop, may have accidentally revealed that Arkane is working on expanding the Deathloop universe, either with a possible sequel or expansion.

In a video interview with Streamily, Jason Kelley (the voice actor for Colt) and Ozioma Akagha (the voice actor for Julianna) were talking about all things Deathloop. Unfortunately for Kelley, he let it slip at the 11-minute mark that the pair are still being hired by Arkane under the codename for Deathloop.

When discussing the audition process for Deathloop, Kelley was asked if he remembered the codename Arkane was using for Deathloop, to which Kelley responded, "yes, I can't say 'em because they're still sometimes hiring us under the codenames." Kelley then quickly realised the error in his comment and portrayed a face of pure disbelief, followed by, "did I just say that?" The voice actor then casually begins whistling, knowing he has likely said something he shouldn't have.

Akagha then jokes that she's the "Tom Holland" of Deathloop because she doesn't get told anything in case she accidentally lets it slip. Of course, despite Kelley's comments, this doesn't strictly mean that a sequel or DLC expansion for Deathloop is in the works, but it is interesting to know that the pair are still being hired under the original codenames for Deathloop.

Deathloop was first released as a limited-time console exclusive for the PlayStation 5 back in September of 2021. The first-person shooter was also released for PC at the same time, but once the console exclusivity with PlayStation expired, Arkane quickly launched its hit title for the Xbox Series X|S in September of 2022. Deathloop even joined Xbox Game Pass, meaning it was available at no extra charge to subscribers of the service.

Shortly after Deathloop was released for Xbox, Arkane confirmed a theory that fans had speculated on since its release. The studio confirmed that Deathloop was in fact set in the same universe as one of its previous action-adventure games, Dishonored.
