Debut Trailer for BIT.TRIP FLUX Looks Glorious, Crotch-Kickingly Difficult

Developer Gaijin Games has released the debut trailer for the final chapter of the fantastic BIT.TRIP series today. Titled FLUX, looks like this one returns to protagonist Commander Video’s roots as he heads home. As is always the case with these games, the music ties in heavily to the gameplay and semblance of a plot, and this looks to be no exception; the cheery, sentimental music really does make it feel as if Commander Video is grateful to head home after a long, emotionally draining journey.

On the contrary though, the gameplay looks to be the exact opposite of good-natured. While the gameplay looks similar to the first game, BEAT, it looks even more tricky, intricate, and frustrated this time. As someone who proudly beat the entirety of BEAT, I cannot wait to get my ass handed to me. Read on to see the trailer.

No word yet on when FLUX comes out, but I honestly hope it’s soon.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
