Co-op FPS Deep Rock Galactic Announced for Xbox One Xbox’s E3 2017 Briefing
Today during Microsoft’s E3 2017 presser, developer Ghost Ship Games and publisher Coffee Stain Studios (the team behind Goat Simulator) announced that its procedurally-generated co-op FPS, Deep Rock Galatic, is coming to Xbox One as a “console launch exclusive.”
According to the pair, the game will launch on PC via Steam Early Access and on Xbox One/Windows 10 Game Preview sometime in ealry 2018. The following overview is provided:
Deep Rock Galactic is a procedurally generated first person co-op shooter for up to 4 players, developed in Unreal Engine 4.
As a team of veteran dwarven space miners, you must go on missions for your corporate overlords and venture into the deepest, most dangerous cave systems of the most hostile planet ever discovered. Experience teamwork as you’ve never experienced it in a co-op game before. Complete missions and gather ever more riches. Expand your roster of class-based skills, unlock new gear and weapons, and take on the worst monsters the galaxy has to offer.
Co-op First – 4 classes of natural born miners, dig together or dig your own grave.
Procedurally Deep – Endless variations, tailored for meaningful mining.
Mission-Based – You have a purpose and it comes with a handsome reward.
