Delayed Xbox One Version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Pops Up on Microsoft's Own Store (UPDATED)

Activision announced earlier this month that the Xbox One version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been delayed without a release date, but apparently someone at Microsoft didn’t get the memo, as the game is now available on Microsoft’s own storefront, both via web and on the Xbox One itself (as you can see below, courtesy of NeoGAF user Wario64)

It’s still unclear whether the game has been made available intentionally or it’s just a mistake, but download at your own risk, especially considering the notice that says that charging is immediate and no refunds will be available.

We have reached out to Activision and Microsoft for a comment, and we’ll keep you updated if we receive any relevant information.

Update: the game has been confirmed to be working, even if there’s still no official confirmation from either Microsoft or Activision.

Update 2: apparently it’s an official release, as mentioned in Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb’s blog. Color me puzzled.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
