Today, computer manufacturer Dell has announced via press release that is has launched several new gaming laptops to its ever-growing roster of gaming computers.
According to the manufacturer, it has launched six new gaming laptops, powered by a Windows 10 operating system based on the new eighth generation of Intel Core processors. The new gaming laptops released by Dell include updated models to the Alienware laptops as well as a new laptop series, the Dell G.
Starting today, the Alienware 15 inch and 17 inch gaming laptops will contain 8th Gen Intel Core i5, i7, and i9 processors with up to 6-cores, allowing gamers to overclock up to 5.0GHZ for the first time on Alienware laptops.
Aside from updating the Alienware laptops, Dell has also implemented the next generation of Alienware Command Center into this new line of Alienware products. Initially debuting at this year’s CES, this new interface allows novice and experienced PC gamers to optimize, overclock, and fine-tune their Alienware PCs and peripherals to accommodate their playstyles.
To further accommodate further to user-customization, this new generation of Alienware Command Center provides gamers complete control over the Alienware 15-inch and 17-inch laptops’ with thirteen programmable lighting zones, which support full RGB lighting with up to 16.8m colors to display, unlocking more than 80 quadrillion possible lighting combinations.
As mentioned earlier, in addition to updated Alienware models, Dells has also launched a new series of gaming laptops, the G series. Similar to the Alienware computers, the Dell G series is a new line of gaming laptops, featuring a gaming-forward design and snappy performance at affordable prices for gamers who want to experience PC gaming but are tight on funds.
At launch, the Dell G series models include the Dell G3, Dell G5, and Dell G7; each of these two models are available in both the 15-inch and 17-inch with each of the models containing various (yet up-to-date) PC parts. Including the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-Series of graphics cards, eighth generation Gen Intel Core processors, thermal management solutions, intelligent content prioritization software, anti-glare IPS panels, and a slew of other features to allow gamers endure fully immersive experiences in their games.
The Dell G3 laptops, are powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 or 1060 (depending on which model you purchase), up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, as well as dual fans and dual drives with SSD options. The G3 series laptops also include a 2×2 WiFi antenna design, which provides superb wireless performance, while the SmartByte software is designed to prioritize gaming and video content keeping them smooth, especially during large file downloads.
Several other notable facts worth mentioning for the Dell G3 laptops include a silky matte exterior finish, the laptops boast a sleek 22.7mm (15)/25mm design, making this an extremely portable gaming laptop. Additionally, the G3 15-inch is now Dell’s most thinest laptop to date. The Dell G3 15-inch laptop is available in Black, Recon Blue, Alpine White, while the 17-inch is available in Black and Recon Blue.
The Dell G5 and G7 laptops are a step-up from its G3 siblings, the G5 and G7 models come in a sleek 25mm thin 15-inch chassis, and contain NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPUs with Max-Q design technology. Both models include 6GB GDDR5 dedicated memory, up to 6-core performance with 8th Gen Intel Core processors (with up to Core i7 on the G5 and i9 on the G7), dual fans, and dual drives with SSD options.
Several other notable features include G7 15-inch sporting 8th Gen Intel Core i9 processors and UHD display (3840×2160) configurations, which will be available sometime later this month. Also, both G5 and G7 15-inch models will feature an optional IPS UHD 4k panel to summon a premium on-screen experience. The Dell G5 15 is available in Standard Black or Beijing Red colors, while the Dell G7 15 is available in either Standard Black or Alpine White.
Currently, the Alienware 15 and 17 available now on Dell’s official starting at $2,399.99 and $3,699.99 with additional configurations starting at $1,449.99 and $1,599.99 beginning April 10. Additionally, the new Alienware models will also be available at BestBuy.com and in select Best Buy Stores.
Regarding availability for the G series, the Dell G7 15 is available now on Dell’s website and Best Buy with a starting price at $1,099.99 with additional configurations starting at $849.99 on April 10. The Dell G3 15 and 17 will be available globally beginning April 16 for $749.99 and $1,099.99 with additional configuration options coming at a later date.
