Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba the Hinokami Chronicles is finally out on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, with an exhilarating Adventure mode to relive the story of Tanjiro, and a Versus mode to try and slay your own friends - Moreover, as it should be with every good anime game, you can select either the English or Japanese voice acting. Here's how you can switch voiceovers.

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba the Hinokami Chronicles has a nearly fully-voiced Adventure Mode. All the cast from the anime is returning. All of the battles are of course voiced as well, with all the characters shouting their cool Breathing Techniques or Demon Art just like in the series.

How to enable the Japanese voice acting in Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles

After you start the game and reach the title menu, go down towards the Options menu and enter it. Next, get to the bottom of the options list in Language Settings, and press X / A depending on whether you're on PlayStation or Xbox to enter the menu.

Now that you're there, you can pick between either Japanese or English by going left or right. The game should be using English voiceovers by default.

Now that's the tricky part and what even I got wrong, hence why we're making this guide in the first place. In order to confirm your choice, instead of X, you need to hit the Options button instead. Or else your choice won't be recorded, and the game will stay with Japanese / English voiceovers. Once you get the "Apply these Changes?" prompt, make sure to pick yes.

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba the Hinokami Chronicles is already available for those with the limited edition, and those in Japan. The game will launch worldwide with its standard edition on October 15.
