Demon Slayer Inspires New Novel

As reported by the Anime News Network, Shuka Matsuda, the author behind The Seven Deadly Sins: Seven Scars They Left Behind, is writing the novel. On the other hand, Gotouge is working on the illustration.

In case you're wondering, the novel will start shipping on July 16th, 2021. So, you can mark that date in your calendar.

The novel will adapt three volumes (Vol. 8-11) from the original Demon Slayer manga. Interestingly, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District is the story Arc featured in these volumes, the same arc that the anime's second season will cover.

For the unacquainted, Entertainment District is the eighth arc in the manga series. In this arc, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu accompany the Sound Hashira, Tengen. According to the arc's description, the four will gather to find Tengen's wives, who go missing while hunting demons in the Yoshiwara district.

As we've already stated, the second season of the anime adaptation will feature the same story. However, when writing this article, there's no exact release date for Season 2. So, while waiting for the anime to come back, manga readers can experience the Entertainment District Arc through the new novel.
