Season 3 of Demon Slayer is set to release in April of 2023, as confirmed by a brand-new trailer released earlier today.

If you're an anime fan, there's a strong chance that you've been patiently waiting for news on Demon Slayer Season 3. The upcoming season was confirmed right after the release of the finale episode of the entertainment district arc, but there has been no major news since. But after months of waiting, the new trailer for Season 3 has been released on the official Youtube channel of Aniplex and reveals a release window of April 2023. We are yet to hear about the exact release date yet, but it's possible that further details will be shared during the Jump Fiesta 2023, which will take place on December 17th and 18th and bring important updates related to several anime, including Demon Slayer.

Fuji TV will air the new season for Japanese fans, while Netflix and Crunchyroll will release it to international audiences. The exact episode count of Season 3 is not known yet, but the creators revealed that the first episode would be a one-hour special. A special event called "World Tour Screening" will also take place in more than 418 theaters in Japan and 80 countries from February 3rd, where episodes ten and eleven of the entertainment district arc and episode one of the upcoming swordsmith village arc will be screened. Tickets will be available to purcahse from December 24th.

As one would expect from Ufotable and Demon Slayer, the new trailer promises an incredible story and animation. The trailer shows the Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, and Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, heading on a new mission to save humanity from the Demons. The trailer also reveals the Demon Slayer, Genya Shinazugawa, Tanjiro Kamado, and his Demon sister Nezuko Kamado, who will be helping the Hashiras in fighting the Demons.

The upcoming season will adapt the swordsmith village arc from the series, which ran from chapters 98 to 127 in the manga. This season will bring Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, and Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, as the major protagonists of the series, who will fight against the Upper-Rank Four Demon, Hantengu, and Upper-Rank Five Demon, Gyokko. The upcoming season will make Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inouske stronger and bring out new abilities and truths about Nezuko.
