Of the titles coming to PS5 on launch day next week, Demon's Souls is perhaps the biggest of them all. Sure, it doesn't have the mass appeal of some of Sony's first-party franchises; however, as the granddaddy of the Souls genre, it's incredibly cool to see it get the remake treatment it deserves. Today, the team gave players a look at both the character creator and photo mode. I can't remember the last time I paid attention to what a Souls character's face looked like, but if they're all this pretty, it might be time to start.

We've seen some in-depth character creators come out over the last few years. Baldur's Gate 3, in particular, stands out as a game with ridiculously beautiful models. Though, personally, nothing has topped the absolute insanity that was City of Heroes. Those weren't as pretty, but Cryptic Studios totally captured the dream of dressing up as your own superhero.

Demon's Souls doesn't appear to quite get to the over-the-top levels some of those other character creators do. That said, the models they're showing off on the PlayStation Blog are gorgeous. And, while you might slap a helmet over that pretty mug immediately, you can still use your good looks when you enter photo mode.

The game's photo mode looks very similar to most of the others out there. You'll have several filters and options for composing that perfect shot. They're also letting you use the filters outside of photo mode, which will allow you to finetune the game for your viewing pleasure. Want to flip those levels to make the game look like the PS3 original? You can do that.

The long wait is nearly over. Demon's Souls comes to PS5 on November 12.
