Destiny 2: Beyond Light Pre-Order Guide – Bonuses Editions Detailed

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is on its way. Which version of the game is perfect for you? Here is a pre-order guide with all the details on the new expansion.

The future of Destiny 2 was revealed in all its glory today. The team at Bungie pulled back the curtain on their new Beyond Light expansion, while also giving fans tons of details about the future of the game. If you’re looking for more info about everything discussed today, be sure to give our “Everything You Need to Know” article a look. However, if you’re already set on Destiny 2 and are looking for your pre-order options, we’ve got you covered.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light Standard Edtion

This is exactly what you’d expect. For $39.99 you get access to the new expansion when it launches on September 22. For pre-ordering, you also get instant access to a new Exotic Ghost Shell and a Legendary Emblem. While not game-changers, it is a nice little incentive that you’ll have the second you pre-order.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light Standard Edition + Season

This edition includes everything in the standard edition, along with access to the current Season Pass. The Season Pass normally runs you $10, so, unsurprisingly, this edition costs $49.99. It would’ve been a nice move from Bungie to give you a bit of discount with the bundle, but it’s not that big of a deal.

For most, this is likely your entry point. Sure, some people hop in and out of Destiny 2, but if you’re committed to playing the expansion, chances are you’ll get a lot out of the Season Pass. This edition also includes the Stranger’s Weapon Pack.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light Deluxe Editon

Destiny 2

The Deluxe Edtion of Beyond Light comes in at $69.99. As expected, it includes everything in the + Season edition and then some. While + Season purchasers only get the current Season Pass, the Deluxe Edition comes with a full year of Season Passes. That comes out to four separate Passes, giving you tons of content.

Alongside the Season Passes,  players get access to a new emote and the Stranger’s Upgrade Pack. The emote is available immediately, while the pack comes with Beyond Light‘s launch.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light Collector’s Edition

And now for the big boys. The Destiny 2: Beyond Light Collector’s Edition comes in at a sizeable $199.99. For that price tag, you’re getting several premium items. Probably most notably, the edition includes a Europa Explorer’s nylon bag and canteen. Both items are pretty sharp-looking.

You’ll also get a die-cast Splinter of Darkness replica complete with lights, a Mysterious Logbook, some neat-looking emblems, and the official soundtrack. So while the price point is undoubtedly high, the quality is as well.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light The Stranger Edition

This one doesn’t yet have a price, but it is pretty cool. Bungie is partnering with Numskull to produce an edition that includes a 10″ statue of The Stranger. It also comes with everything in the Deluxe Edition.

Again, we don’t have full details for this just yet, but those should come in the near future. Keep an eye out on Numskull’s site for further details.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light comes to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 22. It will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X later this year. Be sure to check out all our coverage from today’s event.
