Have you found the Destiny 2 Illusory Barriers in Shattered Realm yet? Well, it doesn't matter that much since the challenge is still bugged.

Soon after the weekly reset on Tuesday, a bunch of new quests and challenges became available in Destiny 2.

Deceiving Appearances is one of the challenges that many people have been struggling to complete since the weekly reset. While the challenge seems to be an easy one, a bug prevents players from finishing off the quest.

Destiny 2 Illusory Barriers Locations

Before we start talking about the locations, keep in mind that you need to have Ager's Scepter in your inventory to be able to complete this challenge. So, if you haven't collected it yet, make sure to go back to the Tracing the Stars and A Hollow Coronation quests.

In order to complete Deceiving Appearances, you will need to destroy three Illusory Barriers using Ager's Scepter and carve a path through them to align six Beacons in Shattered Realm and find some treasures.

Locations:

Head to the H.E.L.M. and enter the Shattered Realm: Debris of Dreams. Once you spawn in the realm continue your path towards the big round surface ahead, but go beneath it. There you will find two of the Illusory Barriers. And the third one will be inside a cave with a lot of enemies once you get on the first big surface and continue the path.

Since explaining it on the map or in words will not help you enough to find the Barriers, we strongly suggest you take a look at EliteFireman's video on YouTube, which exactly explains and shows the location for both Barriers and Beacons.

Destiny 2 Deceiving Appearances Bug Explained

Currently, a strange bug in the mission stops you from completing the challenge. Although you destroy all the Illusory Barriers, the game doesn't count them and still shows that you have not destroyed any barriers.

It is expected to be fixed with the upcoming update for Destiny 2 on September 23.

Destiny 2 is now available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Stadia, and PC.
