Neomuna is the latest destination in the Lightfall expansion, a vibrant neon futuristic city set along the waves. Like every destination in the game, it comes with its own set of weapons and gears and, of course, some new exciting characters. This list will go over the Neomuna weapons you should get, and since they are craftable (except for the three terminal overload ones), you should craft and whether they are worth it in the endgame content.

There are 8 weapons in total, where 3 of them are obtainable from Terminal Overload and are not craftable. All of these weapons have the origin trait Nanotech Tracer Rockets, which states that: “Landing multiple hits turns your next shot into a homing micro-rocket,” which is basically the same as the exotic trait of the Lightfall exotic Quicksilver Storm.

8 Synchronic Roulette: Strand SMG

Synchronic Roulette is a non-craftable strand SMG obtained from the terminal overload. It belongs to the precision frame archetype of 600rpm. The precision frame for SMG is not great, to begin with. Combined with the fact that it has a zoom value of 14, and the absence of a range-enhancing perk like Rangefinder, it can not compete with other weapons in the crucible like Enyo-D or Shayura’s Wrath.

This gun has an absolutely useless perk pool, especially in the left column, as it has no perk which may complement the right column perks. In PvE, you can use the Hatchling perk for Strand builds, but it still falls short due to its terrible perk pool and unpopular frame.

7 Volta Bracket: Strand Sniper Rifle

Volta Bracket is a craftable strand sniper rifle and belongs to the aggressive frame archetype of a sniper rifle. In PvE, sniper rifles have not been meta for a long time, and though the weapon can get perks like Triple Tap and Firing Line, its use cases are pretty limited, especially when weapons like Thoughtless and Succession exist (which are also craftable). It brings nothing new to the table for PvE.

For PvP, this weapon has a zoom value of 50 which some people will automatically not like and some people will absolutely love. It can roll with Firmly Planted and Opening Shot or Under Pressure. But only having Firmly Planted in the left column holds it back.

6 Basso Ostinato: Void Shotgun

Basso Ostinato is a rapid-fire void frame that is non-craftable and can be obtained from the Terminal Overload activity. This weapon again suffers from being part of the worst shotgun archetype, rapid-fire. Though it can get solid rolls for both PvE and PvP, its archetype makes it unviable for competitive play.

In PvP, it can get the combination of Perpetual Motion and the Opening Shot trait. For PvE, you can go with Grave Robber and Trench Barrel, or you can go ad-clearing with the new Destabilizing Rounds perk.

5 Circular Logic: Strand Machine Gun

Circular logic is a non-craftable adaptive farm strand machine gun. You can obtain it from the Terminal Overload activity. Machine guns are always a solid option for PvP, and it doesn’t matter which role you go for. This machine gun is a strand weapon that has access to the Hatchling perk, making it a top-tier weapon.

Combined with Feeding Frenzy in the left column, you get access to an absolutely amazing weapon for strand builds. Because of the 10 percent damage buff Machine guns received with Lightfall, they are feeling pretty solid right now.

4 Dimensional Hypotrochoid: Stasis Heavy Grenade Launcher

Dimensional Hypotrochoid is a craftable weapon and is the first of its archetype, compressed wave frame, which, as the name suggests, is similar to the wave frame special grenade launchers but with their wave’s width noticeably smaller. This new frame might be just what the grenade launchers needed to become ad-clearing weapons. It can roll with Stats for All and Field Prep in the left column. Combine that with Chain Reaction in the right column, and you have got a solid ad-clearing gun. This gun also has five rounds in the magazine which further increases its potential.

The caveat to this gun is its status as a powerful weapon. There are so many ad-clearing weapons in Destiny 2 right now in both special ammo slot and primary ammo slot (like Forbearance, Ikelos SMG, and Mida Mini Tool) that it feels pointless to actually run an ad-clearing weapon in the heavy slot instead of a DPS weapon.

3 Phyllotactic Spiral: Arc Pulse Rifle

Phyllotactic Spiral is another craftable weapon and a high-impact frame arc pulse rifle. This frame alone makes it a good weapon for the crucible. High-impact frames are currently the meta weapon archetype in Destiny 2 PvP, with weapons like No Time to Explain dominating the meta. The 2nd column of the Phyllotactic Spiral is filled with great perks for both PvE and PvP, with limited options in the first column.

For PvP, you have Perfect Float and Tunnel Vision in the left column, being complemented by Kill Clip, Head Seeker, Harmony, and Elemental Capacitor in the second column. You also have Voltshot and Frenzy in the second column for PvE. Unfortunately, no perk in the first column complements them except maybe Compulsive Reloader.

2 Round Robin: Strand Hand Cannon

Round Robbin is an aggressive frame-strand hand cannon that is craftable. These 120 rpm hand cannons are in a good spot in PvP but a weird spot in PvE, their reload speed being the main issue.

It has a great roll potential in the second column for PvP. These include Opening Shot, Kill Clip, Harmony, and Elemental Capacitor. They are complemented by Killing Wind or Perfect Float in the first column. Being a strand hand cannon, Round Robin also has access to the Hatchling perk in the second column. Combine that with Subsistence in the first column, and you have a solid strand weapon that synergizes well with any existing strand builds.

1 Iterative Loop: Arc Fusion Rifle

Iterative Loop, Arc Fusion Rifle in the weapons inspect screen

Rapid-fire fusion rifles are one of the best-feeling weapons in the game, and Iterative Loop is no exception. It is an arc rapid-fire fusion rifle and has access to some absolutely insane perks for both PvE and PvP. In PvP, fusions are always a top-tier option and an amazing counter to the shotgun runners. Iterative Loop is the only arc rapid-fire fusion and is the only rapid-fire fusion to have Elemental Capacitor on it. Iterative Loop can roll with the extremely stable combination of Under Pressure and Elemental Capacitor, which allows for stability never seen before on a fusion rifle.

For PvE, it also has access to the community's favorite perk, Voltshot. When used alongside the Compulsive Reloader perk or Lead from Gold and you have an ad-clearing monster in your hand. Iterative Loop arguably deserves a spot as one of the best legendary weapons for both PvE and PvP.
