With only a few more days until the launch of Destiny 2, Bungie has released the official launch trailer for the game just in time for the United States' total solar eclipse. This truly is a world without light.

You can check out the trailer below.

The trailer shows off Dominus Gaul confronting the Speaker and recognizing his crushing victory over the Guardians of the Last City. What follows are speaches from the Vanguard about how, even with little resources, they plan to take back the Traveler and ensure the safety of Earth's citizens.

Then we get some never-before-seen cutscenes featuring Zavala taking it straight to the Cabal, and Ikora riding a Sparrow through the ruined streets of the Last City. There's a glimpse of a Titan fighting alongside a tank, which may mean that humans are finally starting to even out the playing field.

Destiny 2 will be available on September 6 for PS4 and Xbox One, with PC coming out later on October 24. Of course, the trailer reminds players that if they pre-order Destiny 2, they earn access to the exotic weapon "Coldheart."
