Earlier today, Destiny 2 players on Xbox One and PC began noticing that they were able to get their hands on a PlayStation 4-exclusive weapon called the Wavesplitter, much to fans excitement. Of course, since gamers can't have anything nice in this world (sarcasm, of course), this turned out to be a major bug that's been resolved by Bungie and the fix...well, fans aren't exactly taking it well.

According to Bungie, the weapon wasn't supposed to be made available on other platforms, as the exclusivity deal with PlayStation still holds up until September of this year. Because of this, while some fans were able to use it for a short time, the developer is making it so that the weapon is unable to be equipped. While you won't lose the weapon and you'll still have it in your inventory, it'll remain unusable until the exclusivity deal drops in September.

While this isn't the worst case scenario for fans (thank god the developer didn't revoke the gun entirely from inventories), it's certainly not the best. That being said, given the contract, it seems like Bungie's hands are tied, so I don't really blame them.

Currently, the Season of the Drifter is running in-game and has been since March 5, 2019. The season ends on May 6, 2019, but until then players will be able to get exclusive loot, do exclusive missions, play on new maps and more.

Destiny 2 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. If you want to pick up the game on Amazon, you can do so simply by clicking here.
