The Destiny 2 Season 13 trailer has finally launched ahead of next week's season start date. Of course, the trailer did leak a little early, but today it officially went live on Bungie's social media platforms. As you'd expect, it's chock full of new content for players to jump into. However, with all that content, it sure would be helpful to have a handy place to see what's coming. Well, you're in the right place. Check below for all the details about the

There's a New Empress in Town

In terms of story content, the Destiny 2 Season 13 trailer gave us our first look at the new leader of the Cabal. She's the daughter of Calus and means business. Empress Caiatl came with a proposition for a new alliance, but she made the mistake of asking Zavala to bend the knee. That did not go well.

So now, we're going to be fighting her and her armies. Look, every live service PVE game needs a big bad for each season. Empress Caiatl is a pretty interesting one. She comes wanting to help but has that pesky narcism bug that seems to infect so many leaders. It seems like it's going to end badly for her.

Wage War on the Cabal Via New Battlegrounds

With the failed treaty between the Guardians and the Cabal, you knew there would be fallout. In gameplay terms, this means a series of Battlegrounds where you and two friends will fight against Caiatl's chosen warriors. It should make for a fun bit of content to run through with your buddies.

Three Vanguard Strikes For All Players

Of course, if you want to hop into most of the Season of the Chosen content seen in the Destiny 2 Season 13 trailer, you'll have to cough up some cash. However, there is a bit for non-paying customers to do.

There are three different vanguard strikes for all players to hop into. One sees you seeking out and destroying the Servitor that keeps the Fallen House of Devils running. Another has you helping Rasputin, and the third is another battle against the Cabal. This time, it's to determine the fate of the Last City.

So Much New Gear

It shouldn't surprise you that Destiny 2 is getting new gear as part of the new season. There's a new exotic quest, an exotic bow, and so much more. In total, over 25 weapons have been added to the pool. As always, this includes brand new items as well as reissues of old gear.

A Massive New Battle Pass

Finally, the Season of the Chosen has a brand new season pass for you to run through. As ever, there is both a free seasonal pass and one that you have to buy. It's chock full of content to unlock. By the end of the paid version, you'll unlock both the Ticuu's Divination bow and the new Praefectus armor set. Not a bad haul if you're sticking around for the whole season.

And there you have it. That's basically everything coming to Destiny 2 Season 13. Are you going to be hopping back in and saving the world from the new Empress? Let us know in the comments. Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The Season of the Chosen drops on February 9.
