However, before we get to experience the new content, there are a bunch of things that need to be sorted out by the developers at the backend. At the end of the day, this is how things work!

So, without further ado, let's have a look at the scheduled downtime for the upcoming update:

Destiny 2 Server Maintenance Schedule

According to an official tweet from Bungie Help on Twitter, Destiny 2 server maintenance will officially begin on February 21 at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET or February 22 at 2 am UTC/3 am CET/1 pm AEDT.

The downtime will start 45 minutes after the beginning of the maintenance, and the servers will be out of reach for over 15 hours. The new update for The Witch Queen content is expected to be available on February 22 at 12 pm ET/5 pm UTC/6 pm CET.

Destiny 2 The Witch Queen expansion will be available with update 4.0.0.1 on February 22. While some content will be available for free, you need to purchase the DLC for full access to the story-driven campaign.

Destiny 2 is now available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Stadia, and PC. If you are a PC Game Pass subscriber, you can play Beyond Light for free, but we don't know how long this is going to be available.
