With Destiny 2 on the horizon, and the game’s beta becoming open to the public, Bungie has decided to make the game’s social space “The Farm” accessible for one hour tomorrow.
Opening at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EDT), The Farm will allow players to meet up, discuss plans, and of course, show of their sweet dance moves, now with a max capacity of 26 players, 10 more than were able to fit in The Tower in the first Destiny. During this hour, players will get the chance to explore the space, find what hidden easter-eggs they can, as well as play a match of soccer, complete with a pitch, ball, and goals. No more pushing your friends off The Tower’s edge to a gruesome death.
While the space itself will be accessable, vendors will not. This is likely because Bungie does not want to show off too much of the game before September 6.
Tomorrow at 10AM PT, for 1 hour only, visit The Farm as part of the Destiny 2 Beta test. Scenery only. Vendors have the day off!

I personally stopped playing the Beta because, unlike Destiny, I don’t need to be sold on the idea of a first person shooter looter hybrid. With the exception of a few exotics, abilities, and class specializations, the game feels very familiar and I don’t need to play countless matches of Crucible to understand that. I will, however, be taking the time to log on during the window to access The Farm to see how Guardians are doing without light.
