Destiny 2 released last fall and in that time, Bungie has been steadily adding onto and updating the game with new content and updates, and now the developer is bringing another big set of updates to the game over six months since its release.

In a new update from Bungie, the developer revealed its development roadmap for Destiny 2 through the spring and summer to outline the upcoming updates and content that players can expect in the coming months.

The biggest of these is the release of the game's second expansion called "Warmind," which will release across all platforms on May 8th, 2018. Bungie stated that the next expansion "will send you to new places to meet new heroes and battle new enemies," while also promising "new loot" and new activities for players to master. More on the expansion will be revealed in an upcoming livestream from Bungie on April 24th, 2018.

Alongside the expansion, Bungie also detailed the beginning of the game's Season Three, which will provide a new plan for delivering new content to The Crucible. Specifically, the studio explained that new maps released with the upcoming Warmind expansion will be available for players in all public matches in The Crucible, while those looking to play them in upcoming private matches with friends will have to purchase the expansion to access them, which goes into effect with the release of Warmind and the beginning of Season Three on May 8th, 2018.

Bungie also provided an infographic with more info on community feedback and changes for Season Four, while also providing an infographic on how players will be able to access post-launch content, and specifying which content players can access by purchasing expansions and which will be available to all players across all platforms.

Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and its second expansion will release on May 8th, 2018. For a closer look at what's in store for the game in the coming months, you can check out the images below from Bungie:
