For nearly 3 years, Bungie has continued to make Destiny 2 bigger and expanding what it has to offer players and their Guardians. With the studio having outlined the next few years of new expansions and other content coming to Destiny 2, players will have more to look forward to well into 2022, but if you haven't jumped into it all yet, the game is making the jump to Xbox Game Pass this year and bringing all of its past expansions with it.

During the Xbox Games Showcase, developer Bungie shared some new updates regarding Destiny 2 on Xbox, confirming that we'll expect to see the game on Xbox Series X with optimizations for the new console. Along with a quick new glimpse at the upcoming Beyond Light expansion through a fresh trailer, Bungie also confirmed that the game will officially be coming to Xbox Game Pass this September.

Specifically, Bungie detailed that Destiny 2 on Xbox Game Pass will feature all of the game's expansions released to date alongside Beyond Light. For those with an Xbox Game Pass subscription, that will offer the game's original Red War campaign, Curse of OsirisWarmindForsaken, and last year's major expansion Shadowkeep. Along with getting the chance to dive into the new expansion when it releases on November 10, this will also give new players the chance to catch up on everything related to the game so far.

Earlier this year, Bungie confirmed that Destiny 2 will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X with Smart Delivery support and the ability to run at 4K/60fps. Alongside its technical enhancements on both systems, the next-gen versions will also provide cross-gen save support and crossplay between players on PS5/PS4 and Xbox Series X/Xbox One.

Destiny 2 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC, with the game also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X.
