Destiny Dates Next Update, Bringing New PvE Challenges, Gear, Level Cap and More

In this week’s Destiny update, Bungie finally revealed their plans for the latest update which (surprisingly) will bring a wide swath of new features. And while the details for everything is still very loose, Update 2.2.0 will drop April 12th, 2016.

What can you expect with this latest update? According to Bungie, you can expect the following:

  • New PvE Challenges
  • New and Updated Gear
  • New Quest Featuring the Blighted Chalice Strike
  • Increased Max Light and Rewards
  • Sandbox and Crucible Updates

These are all welcome changes from a rabid community that has been desperately begging Bungie for something to do. All of the content will be available for free for anyone who has purchased Destiny: The Taken King. Further, for the next three weeks, Bungie will be showcasing the new content in Twitch stream Previews — beginning next week (March 23, 2016) at 2 PM Eastern.
