With the upcoming release of the Shadowkeep expansion right around the corner, next week also marks a major shift for Destiny 2 players as the title transitions from its original home of Battle.net and heads to Steam. Along with that move, Destiny 2: New Light is also being introduced as a free-to-play experience for new players to hop into the experience, and now Bungie has broken down everything that it will offer.Over on Twitter, Bungie shared a new infographic that details the exact offerings of Destiny 2: New Light, which adapts the game to a free-to-play format. While Bungie previously detailed that New Light would feature all of the game's Year One content, such as the base campaign and its first few expansions, Bungie outlined a bit more clearly what players can expect from the jump.According to Bungie, New Light will start players out at Power Level 750 (with the ability to level up to max Power), and will provide free seasonal ranks and rewards. On the campaign side of things, New Light will include The Red War (the base campaign of Destiny 2) along with the Curse of Osiris and Warmind expansion campaigns. Destiny 2: New Light will also include access to all Year One Exotic Weapons and Armor, the Crucible, Strikes, Year One Raids (and accompanying weapons and gear), in-game events, and more.Notably, Bungie clarified a few specific things for players of New Light, and added that it will include The Reckoning, a few Year Two Exotics (Thunderlord, Arbalest, Outbreak Perfected, and Bad Juju), and rewards from the activities mentioned in the infographic (but not their associated Exotics), and also mentioned that the Forsaken subclasses are not included with New Light. While those looking to deepen their experience with the game through the Forsaken and Shadowkeep expansions will need to purchase those expansions separately, Destiny 2: New Light still will provide players with a hefty dose of PvE and PvP content that should serve as a great introduction to the shooter when it debuts through Steam and on consoles October 1.Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with the game to arrive on Google Stadia later this year.
