Destiny on PC Hasn’t Been Entirely Ruled Out, Says Bungie Director Christopher Barrett

During an interview with GameSpot, Bungie director Christopher Barrett said that Destiny might make it to PC some day, but it isn’t something the studio is actively working on at the moment:

“No updates on that today, but we’re always looking at what platforms make sense for Destiny.”

Barrett also revealed why Bungie was ditching the last-generation consoles and focusing on support Xbox One and PS4:

“It was a good time for us to really focus on the current-gen platforms; we’ve said that over 90 percent of our players now are on the current-gen platforms. We’ve gotten to the point where to continue to add new stuff, we would start to have to take things away. And so, we really wanted to make sure Rise of Iron is the best experience possible. So we’ve focused on current-gen for now.”

Ditching support of last-gen consoles is nothing new, Rockstar Games did the same with Grand Theft Auto V on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Destiny’s Rise of Iron expansion releases September 20 for PS4 and Xbox One.
