Since the game’s launch in September, Destiny has kept players searching around the galaxy for weeks, while rumors of new content and DLC expansions have kept the promise of more to discover alive – luckily, there isn’t too much longer of a wait to explore the rest of Destiny’s secrets.
Activision announced today that the first expansion to Destiny, titled “The Dark Below,” will be releasing on December 9th, 2014 for all platforms. Taking players below the surface of the moon, “The Dark Below” will include new missions and story quests involving The Hive and mysterious circumstances leading to the arrival of an ancient god. In addition to the new story content, “The Dark Below” will also raise the game’s level cap to 32, along with adding new weapons, equipment, legendary/exotic items, and other new features.
“The Dark Below” will be available individually for $19.99 on all platforms, or is also available through the Destiny Season Pass for $34.99, which includes both “The Dark Below” and the second upcoming expansion.
Destiny is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360.
