Destiny Requires 40GB of Hard Drive Space for Installation

Destiny has already been set as one of this year’s biggest titles going into the holiday season, and for those looking to jump into the action as soon as possible, it may be advisable to start clearing up some hard drive space on your console, and soon.

Leaked photos of the final case for Destiny, appearing on Imgur by a user that obtained their copy early, show on the back of the box’s fine print that the game will require “up to 40GB storage” for installation on the console’s hard drive. As the game will also be featuring several DLC packs that will presumably be large in size, expect to start clearing up space on your drive to make some room for more Destiny.

Destiny releases on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 on September 9th, 2014 – in the meantime, you can check out the leaked photos of the Destiny box art below from the original Imgur post:
