Destiny’s Rise of Iron expansion will add a few more bits of content other than new strikes and missions. As the expansion is Game Informer’s cover game this month there has been more information then usual.
In an update to the cover article, it was revealed that vendor Lord Saladin would be selling a new type of Engram called Iron Engrams. There is a possibility that these will drop Year 1 & 2 armor pieces.
Radiant Treasure chests have also been detailed. These chests are Rise of Iron’s version of Sterling Treasures, and just like the Sterling chests, you can only get a limited number per week. These can include cosmetic items and can be purchased from the Eververse Trading Company.
Vault space will also not see any upgrades, unfortunately.
Furthermore the expansion will include new image filter options available to those who like capturing footage and Rise of Iron’s version of Calcified Fragments, and more.
Rise of Iron launches September 20 for PS4 and Xbox One only.
