The second Destroy All Humans! remake from THQ Nordic and Black Forest Games is almost here and Crypto is ready to do nasty things to the poor folk of planet Earth. But, the big question is, when exactly can you start playing Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed? What does it cost? What day and what time does it release? Does the remake have multiplayer? When are the reviews coming out? It's always good to be prepared for an alien onslaught, so we've compiled the relevant info to help you get started.

Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed releases on August 30th, 2022 and it will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Yes, you read that right: the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch are missing out on this release, despite the first game initially being released on those consoles. It's unfortunate and it's sure to limit the potential player base, especially on PS5 as Sony's console is still a challenge to find. There's a chance that a port for Sony's and Microsoft's last-gen machines, as well as the Switch, could come at some point in the future; the game has been developed with the super-scalable Unreal Engine 4, after all. For now, though, the only way you'll be able to take Crypto out for another round of mayhem is on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC.

While you'll need an expensive next-gen console to play, or a semi-decent PC, you won't need to break the bank to buy Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed. In line with the first remake, the sequel is a budget release costing £34.99/$39.99/39.99€ across all available platforms. Sadly, there's no launch-window discount, which has become a common incentive for first-week sales and pre-orders, but there is a little bonus for those who pre-order the game digitally.

If you pre-order Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed from your favored digital storefront, you'll get the standalone DLC multiplayer game, Destroy All Humans! - Clone Carnage, at no extra cost. Otherwise, the standalone multiplayer game will run you £9.99/$12.99/12.99€. It's worth noting, though, that Clone Carnage has been absolutely destroyed by disgruntled players in their reviews on Steam. Take advantage of it as a pre-order freebie but be wary before throwing down actual cash.

If you're a cautious buyer anyway, you'll no doubt be on the lookout for Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed reviews in the run-up to release. The good news is that the Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed review embargo is set for a few days before release, meaning you'll get a good idea as to whether the game is for you or not ahead of time. You'll be able to read/watch reviews (including ours) for the game from August 26th at 8AM PT / 11AM ET / 4PM BST / 5PM CEST.

And as for when you'll be able to actually start playing, that could depend on your platform of choice. At the time of writing this up, only the PlayStation Store has any given release time for Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed, and that time is 3PM CEST. Even on the US and UK PSN storefronts, the central European time is noted. Unfortunately, there's no official answer to be had via the game's official website; the website doesn't work. If the game will release simultaneously across regions, we would be looking at the game being available at 6AM PT / 9AM ET / 2PM BST / 3PM CEST.

And finally, multiplayer: does Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed have multiplayer support? Just like the original version of the game, it does have split-screen multiplayer, meaning you'll be able to go through the campaign with a buddy, or just team up to cause general chaos and mayhem. There is no online multiplayer support, though, so you will need to have an actual person to play alongside you. Preferably a human. One that hasn't yet been destroyed...
