Detective Pikachu, a point-and-click style adventure game, was released last month for the Nintendo 3DS, but if you weren’t sure about buying the game, you have the opportunity to download a free demo on the Nintendo eShop to try it out.

The free demo will allow you to play the first half of Chapter One of Detective Pikachu, and any progress made can be transferred over to the full version of the game if you decide to purchase it. So, if you’d like to help Tim Goodman and Pikachu search Ryme City to find Tim’s father, and help Pikachu recover the memories of his forgotten past, the free special demo of the game is available in the Nintendo eShop which you can find in the Source below.

In addition, if you buy the game right now, you will receive a bonus download code for a Detective Pikachu theme for the HOME menu on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. This offer ends on April 22nd.

If you’re still unsure about checking out Detective Pikachu, you can view the game’s release trailer here, and you also read DualShockers’ review of the game here.

Detective Pikachu (and its demo) is available now for the Nintendo 3DS. If you have a good time with the demo you can grab the game, as well as the matching Detective Pikachu amiibo and New Nintendo 2DS XL from Amazon.
