New Deus Ex Mankind Divided “Mechanical Apartheid” Video Shows How Human Enhancement Can Go Wrong

A new live-action trailer has been released leading up to the launch of Square Enix’s latest game, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

The four minute video focuses on enhanced humans mechanical body parts being hacked and unwillingly killing their family and members of the general public. Mass riots, protesting and propaganda follows shortly after, and the media are said to be pushing an anti-augmentation agenda.

A montage-like last few minutes shows more rioting and civil unrest, and gradually those with augmentations are segregated from those without into concentration camps.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will release August 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can check out the trailer below.
