Developer Diary Explores the Fantastic Art of SkullGirls

During my hands-on time with 2D fighting game SkullGirls at PAX, one thing that I simply could not get over was the game’s eye-snatching character design. Everything from the way the characters looked to their walking and fighting animations was completely, insanely awesome. This new documentary video goes in-depth and behind the scenes of designing and then animating a SkullGirls character and it is very interesting.

Creator/Art Director Alex Ahad explains in detail what the team goes through and it seems like very meticulous and time consuming work. I’m glad they’re doing it though because the game looks fantastic. SkullGirls will be available on HD consoles this summer. Hit the break for the documentary.
