Developer’s Diary Published for Valiant Hearts: The Great War Features Heartwarming Insights on Man’s Best Friend

June 5, 2014

Valiant Hearts: The Great War, a melancholy new adventure game surrounding the events of World War I, will feature an unlikely little hero that will be your ‘best friend’ throughout the game.

Walt, a beat-up little hound dog wearing the Red Cross symbol, will offer a child-like view to war in addition to the emotional toil of the four human main characters says Yoan Fanise, Content and Audio Director. While there seems to be quite a few action sequences, the focus will be more on intertwined destinies and a desperate love story rather than the combat using the same UbiArt Framework graphics engine as Child of Light.

Valiant Hearts is set to be released on June 25 on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and on the PC.
