While it might not be one of the more marquee releases in early 2020, Devil May Cry 3 is set to make its way to the Nintendo Switch next month. Even though this release of the game at face value might seem like just a standard port of DMC3 on Nintendo's latest platform, Capcom has today stated that it has a little something more planned for this iteration of the classic action title.Over on the official Devil May Cry Twitter account today, Capcom producer Matt walker shared a bit of an update regarding the Switch version of DMC3. Walker stated that because this entry in the Devil May Cry series is so beloved by fans, the team wanted to add "a little something extra" to make this release all the more special. Walker didn't say specifically just what this could be, but he did say that that team was "motivated" to do such a thing. For those unaware, "motivated" is a line that DMC3 character Vergil uses in the game at times. It seems likely that whatever this bonus feature is could be related to him in some way.

Additionally, Walker made mention of three upcoming dates in which Capcom would say more about this release of Devil May Cry 3. January 16, January 30, and February 13 are the dates that Walker said fans should circle on their calendars right now to look forward to.

These dates are all the more interesting given that rumors are swirling that Nintendo will soon be holding a new Direct. Perhaps one of these dates mentioned by Walker could also be the date that a Direct is set to occur? It's hard to say for now, but either way, Capcom themselves will definitely have more to say about DMC3 on these dates whether it be in a Direct or not.

Personally, I've got my fingers crossed to see some Dante or Vergil Amiibo figures releasing alongside Devil May Cry 3. While Walker's message here doesn't seem like it's hinting at any accessories, I (and I'm sure many others) would love to own some Amiibo based on DMC characters. Make it happen, please, Capcom.

Devil May Cry 3 will arrive on Switch next month on February 20. When we learn more about what Capcom has in store for this release, we'll be sure to let you know.
