Devil May Cry 5 Gets Even More Hype With a New Trailer Showcasing HYDE Song Collaboration
Capcom revealed in a new Devil May Cry 5 trailer a brand new theme song for the game, Mad Qualia by Japanese singer HYDE.
Capcom announced today Devil May Cry 5 is getting a collaboration song titled Mad Qualia by Japanese singer HYDE.
HYDE is one of the most prolific singers in Japan, being the lead vocalist in L’Arc~en~Ciel and VAMPS. two rock bands extremely popular in Japan and beyond. Together with either group, HYDE already contributed many songs for games or anime in the past, including Gundam 00 and Full Metal Alchemist. L’Arc~en~Ciel is still in activity, while VAMPS is on indefinite hiatus as of 2017.
This isn’t the first time HYDE contributes to Capcom games or the Devil May Cry series either, as L’Arc~en~Ciel contributed the Drink It Down theme song for Devil May Cry 4 in 2008, and the Don’t be Afraid theme song for Resident Evil VR in 2016.
The full Japanese voice cast list for Devil May Cry 5’s main characters was also published today:
Dante: Toshiyuki Morikawa
Nero: Kaito Ishikawa
V: Kouki Uchiyama
Morrison: Akio Otsuka
Trish: Atsuko Tanaka
Lady: Fumiko Orikasa
Kyrie: Saori Hayami
For those who wanted to rewatch it with Japanese voices, I’ve also included below the Japanese voice-overs version of the latest trailer from The Game Awards, which was published today along with the HYDE collaboration trailer.
