What would you like to see in the next Devil May Cry game? How about a more mature, middle-aged Dante who's less inclined to fire his mouth off given the opportunity?

Some players may enjoy Dante's personality, but Capcom developer Rey Jimenez thinks it'd be a good idea to let Dante grow up a bit, even going as far to suggest that Dante in his 40's or 50's would make for an interesting experience for players.

Speaking in a recent interview with Hip Hop Gamer, Jimenez was asked about what's next for the franchise and where it could go in the future.

I'd push it forward a few years. Lets get Dante in his late 40's or 50's. Lets get the Indiana Jones kinda adventure where he's a bit older, wiser and calmer. See how he acts then, you know?

Now that's one way to split fans... Then again, players have become generally more open to change in their favorite game franchises over the last few years as well as being more willing to invest in characters. So maybe seeing Dante in his golden years wouldn't be the worst thing that Capcom could do.

This is by no means confirmation that this is the direction that Capcom and Ninja Theory will move Devil May Cry in, but it'd be an interesting concept.

The latest installment in the long-running series is DmC: Devil May Cry, a reboot of sorts for the franchise which is also getting an updated release on the PS4 and Xbox One this March.
