Devolver Digital’s E3 Press Conference Won’t Have Any New Game Reveals, But it Will Feature Suda51

Devolver Digital has revealed that it will not be packing any game reveals for E3 2017.

Back on May 16th, Texas-based publisher Devolver Digital — who is known for publishing an array of some of the best and weirdest indies — announced that it was hosting its first-ever E3 press conference at E3 2017.

At the time of its announcement, many people wondered what exactly said press conference would look like. Would Devolver follow suit of every other E3 presser with a bunch of announcements and game reveals? Or would it just have some release date announcements and a ton of shenanigans? Well, it appears the latter is the case, as yesterday, Devolver Digital tweeted the following tweet, stating it would have zippo in the game reveal department (but it will have CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture — Goichi Suda, aka SUDA51).

As you may know, Devolver Digital has quite the slab of very promising looking indie games scheduled to release this year, so it could make sense the presser will simply be used to make it rain release date announcements, for games such as: Crossing SoulsAPE OUT, RUINER, MinitEitr, The Talos Principle 2, and Serious Sam 4. It could also use the time to show off perhaps its biggest upcoming release, Absolver or show a bit more on the recently announced The Swords of Ditto.

Devolver Digital has also revealed that publishers such as Raw Fury, Adult Swim Games, and Sega will be in attendance with exclusive gameplay footage, among other things.

Devolver Digital’s show will broadcast on June 12th at 1am EST. Be sure to follow DualShockers for all the news that gushes out.
