Devolver Digital’s VR Gladiator Simulator GORN Hitting Steam Early Access on July 10th; New Gameplay Trailer
HTC Vive game GORN from Devolver Digital and Broforce developer Free Lives gets new trailer and release date.
Today, developer Free Lives — the studio behind Broforce and Genital Jousting — and publisher Devolver Digital announced that their violent VR gladiator simulator, GORN, is set to release on HTC Vive, via PC (via Steam Early Access) on July 10th. And to celebrate the news, the pair also released a new gameplay trailer.
According to the developer, GORN, is a unique, fully physics driven combat engine. In it, combatants will be able to creatively execute their most violent gladiatorial fantasies…in VR..the best place to execute such fantasies.
Facing an infinite supply of poorly-animated opponents, your task is to strike down all that come your way with a variety of weapons, including swords, maces, bow, nunchuks, throwing knives, warhammers, or your own bare hands.
Free Lives pitches the game as “the most brutal and savage VR face-smashing game ever produced by man.” And by looking at its track-record for going well over-the-top, I don’t personally doubt them here.
GORN is set to release at an unknown price-point. Additionally, at the moment, it’s minimum system requirements only mention having 2 GB of free space and nothing else.
Below, you can check out the gory new gameplay trailer, as well as a batch of the game’s official screenshots.
