Today Blizzard Entertainment announced that the next add-on for its game Diablo III will be released next week, on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017.

This pack will include a ton of new content. First off, players will get immediate access to the Necromancer class for use in the campaign, as well as the game's Adventure Mode. Players who purchase the DLC will also get access to a non-combat pet, a pair of cosmetic wings, new Necromancer themed Banner Shape, Sigil, and Accent, Necromancer Portrait Frame, Pennant, and two addition character slots. PC players will also get access to two additional stash tabs.

The developer also revealed some additional details about how the DLC will actually launch. Before the add-on can be installed players will have to download update 2.6.0, which will be available after a maintenance period has finished. Work will begin on the PC version at 10:00 a.m. PDT, 11:00 p.m. CEST, 2:00 a.m. KST (June 29th, 2017), 5:00 a.m. CST (June 29th, 2017), while the Xbox One and PS4 versions will go under starting at 8:00 a.m. PDT for all regions except for Japan, and 12:00 p.m. JST in Japan.

Maintenance should only last two hours, however it could be extended or shortened at any time.

The pack will be compatible with both the Reaper of the Souls expansion, as well as Ultimate Evil Edition bundle of the game, and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The price will be $14.99.

If players don't already own a copy of Diablo III, Blizzard will be releasing Diablo III: The Eternal Collection, which will include the Rise of the Necromancer pack, as well as the Ultimate Evil Edition. While this edition normally costs $59.99, it will be on sale for a limited time, bringing it down to $39.99.

In addition to the announcement of the release date, Blizzard also unveiled a brand new trailer for the DLC. You can check it out at the end of the article.

Diablo III was originally released on May 15th, 2012, and is currently available for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
