It seems that the rumored animated series based on Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo franchise will be heading to Netflix sometime soon.

According to Andrew Cosby, who was originally rumored to write the show, tweeted “I guess I can confirm I am indeed in final talks to write and show-run the new Diablo animated series for Activision and Netflix.” He then continues enthusiastically stating, “It’s very exciting and I hope to the High Heavens it all works out.”

However, that tweet has been deleted. This could possibly mean it will be revealed sometime in the near future. A logical place to reveal such a project would be BlizzCon which begins on November 2, 2018.

Andrew Cosby has found success in a variety of mediums. He is the co-founder of Boom! Studios, a comic book publisher known for Irredeemable, The Woods and a number of licensed books including Warhammer 40K and The Amory Wars. He has also found success in television as the co-creator of the Syfy show, Eureka. Currently, he is helping write the script for the upcoming Hellboy reboot alongside Christopher Golden and Mike Mignola.

In other Diablo news, it was recently announced that Diablo III: Eternal Collection will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on November 2, 2018. This will include the base game, the Reaper of Souls expansion, the Rise of the Necromancer DLC, and a few The Legend of Zelda themed cosmetic items.
