DICE Gives New Details on the Future of Battlefield 1’s Multiplayer
A new blog post on the game's website talks about what lies ahead for multiplayer fans.
DICE recently offered new details on the future of Battlefield 1 in a new blog post on the game’s website. This post essentially laid out everything that can be expected to arrive in the game’s multiplayer over the next few months.
First off, Battlefield 1 will now be receiving monthly updates. In the past these updates came in the form of seasonal patches. The transition to monthly updates allows DICE to, “bring you more of what you want, faster than ever.”
Also mentioned was the upcoming Spring Update that will be rolling out soon. This update will finally bring Platoons to the game which will allow you to join organize and join up with your friends to conquer the battlefield. More info on both Platoons and the rest of the changes coming to the Spring Update will be given soon.
Lastly, some information regarding the upcoming expansions to Battlefield 1 were discussed. Currently, three new expansions — In The Name Of The Tsar, Turning Tides, and Apocalypse — are on their way and each will give players new weapons, vehicles, and maps.
