Digimon Survive Delayed To 2021 With News Coming in Spring
As expected, Tactical RPG Digimon Survive is going through another delay, to 2021, as the development cycle was hit by the pandemic.
On October 15, Bandai Namco and Toei Animation announced Digimon Survive, coming to PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, is getting delayed to 2021. This was highly expected seeing we haven’t heard about the game recently despite the 2020 planned release, and after the latest Twitter comments from Producer Kazumasa Habu.
The upcoming Digimon Tactical RPG is getting delayed to 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic slowing down the development cycle. Bandai Namco described Digimon Survive as a highly ambitious title, and the delay will serve to bring fans a complete experience at launch. The development team asked for our patience and understanding, with a promise of more news coming in Spring 2021.
The statement from Producer Kazumasa Habu regarding the delay of Digimon Survive was shared via press release and on Twitter. In the message, Habu thanked fans for their support in these difficult times, and explained current world events made the team shift its development timing. Taking the difficult decision to delay the game to 2021. The team is currently hard at work to create a fun and engaging Tactical RPG that will stay in our memories with a remarkable story.

As we close in to the end of 2020, many Japanese games planned for this year are announcing 2021 delays. Such as Rune Factory 5 by Marvelous, or other Bandai Namco games such as Tales of Arise and Idolmaster Starlit Season.
