When Bandai Namco first released Digimon World: Next Order, it was on the PlayStation Vita in Japan earlier this year. Since then, the publisher has announced that the newest entry in the franchise will be not only be making the jump to PlayStation 4, but hitting the West in 2017 as well.
This new version of the game will be known as Digimon World: Next Order International Edition in its native region and has had a new gameplay video released today highlighting the differences between the two versions.
As evidenced below, the details that the PlayStation 4 version of the game provide are noticeable, as grass, water, and crystals are more fully realized on home console than on handheld. To add to that, there’s a lot more populating the game’s various locations.
Digimon World: Next Order is due out for PlayStation 4 in North America on January 31st, in Europe on January 27th, and in Japan as Digimon World: Next Order International Edition on February 26th.
