Cory Barlog, the Director of Sony Santa Monica's God of War, has confirmed via Twitter that the game won't have a season pass.

While this doesn't mean that the title won't get any sort of the DLC, it should put players who're concerned about the prevalence of season passes in single-player games at ease. When or if we do see DLC it might be something more akin to The Frozen Wilds DLC that was released for Horizon Zero Dawn late last year, but this is just my personal speculation.

Last week, GameStop revealed the God of War collector's edition which is packed to the brim with tons of goodies like a lithograph, steel book, digital content and of course, a nine-inch statue you can proudly display wherever your heart desires. While no release date has been revealed yet for God of War, it'll possibly be one of Sony's first big exclusives that'll be released this year. According to what appeared to be an accidental listing on the PlayStation Store from last month, God of War may come out as soon as March 22, which would incidentally coincide with the original game's release. There's no telling whether the date was just coincidence or not so we'll just have to wait and see.

God of War will be available exclusively on PS4.
