For fans of racing titles, the Dirt franchise has held a special place. Maybe not first, with other racing titles like Forza or Need For Speed, but enough to get the series to its' fifth entry. While we already know that the game will be releasing this upcoming October on current-gen and next-gen consoles, there's still a lot we don't know. It seems like all questions should be answered though, during an event for the Dirt 5 set for June 18 at 2PM BST, or 9AM EST for those in the U.S.Announced through a Tweet on the game's official account this event will center around the game's new career mode, which the tweet called "Dirt's most ambitious Career mode ever." There will also be appearances by Dirt 5's most notable voice actors; Nolan North and Troy Baker.

We already know a good deal about Dirt 5's upcoming career mode. It will be split into five chapters, each of which includes multiple paths, taking the form of different events you can choose whether or not to take part in. With ever completed race, players earn stamps, which can be used to unlock a Main Event in each chapter. Of course, along the way you can also unlock different sponsors, including 20 real-world brands, each of which brings its own exclusive benefits. While this all sounds good on paper, hopefully, we'll get to see a bit of it during the stream June 18.

Dirt 5 is set to launch on Xbox Series X, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC in October 2020. It will also be making its way to Google Stadia, although a date has not been set as of writing.
