Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories is Coming West Early 2020

NIS America announced Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories is coming to PS4, Switch and PC in the west.

Nippon Ichi Software America revealed today the western localization of Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories. The game will be launching in early 2020 for PC, PS4, and Switch. Disaster Report 4’s announcement trailer is included below.

Developed by ex-Irem employees at Granzella led by Kazuma Kujo, Disaster Report 4 is an adventure, survival game set right after a natural disaster. After customizing their avatar, even deciding where they were headed when the calamity struck, players will need to survive in a city in turmoil. The series is also renowned for the dozens of different choices available in a single conversation, changing the outcome of your encounters with the NPCs and your own story.

Granzella’s head Kazuma Kujo previously hinted at the game coming west when speaking about a possible return of the Steambot Chronicles series.

Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories is known as Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4+: Summer Memories in Japan. It launched there in November 2018 on PS4 and will be coming to Switch there on September 26. While the game’s name seems to indicate it’s an improved version, no game titled Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4: Summer Memories actually ever released. It was supposed to launch on PS3 in April 2011, but was canceled following the Tohoku Earthquake. As such, Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4+: Summer Memories, or Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories as it is now officially titled outside Japan, is a brand new game.

In Japan, Disaster Report 4 is also receiving DLC taking place after the events of the game. The first chapter of this DLC is free and launched on June 7.
