The communication and chat app Discord today announced that the platform will soon be expanding into the market of offering games for sale.

The aptly titled Discord Store will soon be launching as a beta available for roughly 50,000 Canadian users of the platform. Additionally, certain games will be available to download for free for those who are subscribed to Discord Nitro, the premium subscription service that Discord offers. Individual purchases of games will still be available as well.

In addition, Discord will also slowly begin rolling out exclusive games that are for sale only through their portal. These games will only be available exclusively through Discord — likely for 90 days or so — before later coming to other storefronts.

Lastly, Discord will also soon be adding a universal launcher that will allow you to, well, launch your games through the application. Discord will search your computer for the games that you have installed and will then allow you to boot up that game through the application, even if that game normally requires a specific launcher to play.

As for what games will initially be available through the Discord Store, the following were announced with more to likely be added soon.
