The Disgaea 1 Complete launch occurs today on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 with a new trailer showing off the strategy RPG's moves, characters, extras and unique attitude.

This is a remaster of the classic 2003 game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness from NIS and Nippon Ichi that released on the PlayStation 2. The visuals were completely reworked for high definition display on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Disgaea 1 Complete also includes Etna Mode, which was included in the PSP version Afternoon of Darkness. In this mode Etna is the main character after accidentally killing usual main character Laharl at the beginning.

Other characters, such as the Prism Rangers, Earth's Heroes, and Asagi from Disgaea 2 also make appearances. With a level cap of 9999, multiple endless dungeons to upgrade your items, and many endings to achieve, Disgaea 1 began the series' trend of taking up hundreds of hours to fully complete.

You can get Disgaea 1 Complete for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for $49.99 USD and you can get a copy via Amazon. European players will have to wait until October 12, while Japan has been enjoying the game since August. You can view the Disgaea 1 Complete launch trailer below.
