Today Nippon Ichi Software released the first trailer of Disgaea 1 Complete, the remake of the first Disgaea, known in Japan as Makai Senki Disgaea Refine.

The trailer showcases gameplay, providing a look at the improved visuals from the PS2 original. We also take a glimpse at the story and at the colorful cast that Disgaea fans are already familiar with.

While the video is dedicated to the Japanese version of the game, we already know that it'll be coming west this year.

In the two screenshots above, you can also check out the difference between the original and the remaster, while lots more screenshots can be found in the gallery at the bottom of the post.

To be more precise, Disgaea 1 Complete will release in Japan on July 26th, while North American and European fans will have to wait for fall 2018.
